a stranger. He was a tall strong man with a long white beard, rosy chicks, pink nose and blue eyes. His round face was very kind and pleasant. The man was dressed in a short red jacket and a red cap with a pompon. I bet I had never met this man before, but I knew him. He looked like Santa Claus. Everybody knows that there are no Santas, all the stories about him are just fairy tales for small kids. But I was not a kid at all. I could not believe my eyes. Suddenly I saw reindeer which pulled a sleigh with a big sack. The man took out of the sack some boxes wrapped in colourful paper and went to the big block of ice. I saw three little bear cubs who ran to the stranger.I wanted to warn him about the danger but he did not hear me. If the cubs’ mother was not far from her children, she could bring a lot of harm to the man. The cubs were jumping and running around the man, they were licking his hands . He stroke their heads and said something in a calm soothing voice. Then he put the boxes on the ice and helped the bears unwrap them. I was astonished. How could it be? Was it really Santa Claus? I decided to look into the sack to make sure there were presents in it. I came to the sleigh but the deer did not like it and pulled the slegh away from me. I ran after them and fell into the sack! There were big and small boxes, candy canes, bars of chocolate, toys and what not. I tried to get out of the box, but at that moment the sleigh rushed forward. I looked out of the sack and saw that we were flying in the sky, faster and faster. I could not say a word. Santa was sitting in front of me and did not see me. Then the reindeer went down and down and we found ourselves somewhere in Africa. It was very hot and sunny. Santa got out of the slegh holding some boxes with toys in his hands, came up to a small hut and climbed the roof. He jumped into the chimney. Soon he appeared on the roof, jumped down, sat on a sleigh and we went on. I did not know what to do. Suddenly Santa looked at me and said,” Don’t be afraid. At midnight you will be with your friends again. But you will have to help me. So I helped him deliver the gifts to children all over the world. His sled moved at a great speed. It was amazing! I saw a lot of countries and entered every house and palace together with Santa Claus. At last there were no more presents in the sack. “It’s time to go home,”said Santa, and we went back to Arctic. In a minute or two I was at that very place I had started my journey. Santa waved his hand and the sleigh disappeared. I did not even have time to say ,” Thank you!” . At that moment I heard the voices of my friends. I opened my eyes and understood that I had been sleeping all the time. Suddenly I saw something on the ice near me. It was a box. A Present! And my comrades were also unwrapping their gifts….. It was not a dream after all. I saw Santa. He is real like you and me, believe it or not. Christmas is the time when everything is possible and all our dreams may come true.
