leaving for good. So the little polar bear went out of his house and started his long journey. After some time he met somebody looking very much like him. It was also a polar bear cub. “Who are you?” asked Snowy. “My name is Rompy”, answered the bear. “And what’s your name?” “My parents call me Snowy”, replied our little traveller. “Nice to meet you.” “Nice to meet you too.” “Are you lost? Where are you going all alone?” wondered Rompy. “I’m looking for a place where I will be able to see something different. I’m sick and tired of this white snow”, complained Snowy. “It seems to me that I know such a place. Let’s go to the country with lots of fruits and wonderful animals. And it’s hot there”, said Rompy. As Snowy was a curious little bear he agreed to go and they went off. The two bears went through thick deep snows, swam across the cold ocean, escaped may dangers and enemies, but finally they reached a wonderful country. It was Africa. First they saw a very big animal with a very long nose and big ears. Of course it was an elephant. Then they were astonished by a creature with a very long neck. When they got acquainted with him, they learnt that it was a giraffe and he was not a bad fellow. On their way the bears met a lot of exotic animals, made friends with some of them. But there were some cruel and unpleasant creatures such as a crocodile or a rhino that wanted to have little bears for breakfast. Snowy ate bananas, oranges and coconuts. He lay in the sun and swam in warm water. He had a lot of fun and joy. But gradually he began to miss his mother and father. Snowy dreamt of ice floes and ice-cream. At last Snowy and Rompy decided to return to their dear northern Arctic. When Snowy knocked the door of his house his Mummy bear and Daddy bear couldn’t help crying of happiness. They were very glad to see their son again. They hugged Snowy and he felt himself extremely happy. He understood that there’s no place like home. But you can never know it before you visit other places and have new experience.
