Before I took part in the Expedition through the Arctic, I had lived by a schedule. In the Arctic you lose sense of time. Having 24 hours of sunlight we could start our hiking at what we thought was 3 PM but it was actually 3 AM.
Our entire being was focused on one thing: survival.

a bear. I saw his eyes. He was looking at me very attentively. His hair was white and his eyebrows were thick. I didn’t believe that I saw a white bear. I was shocked. I didn’t know what to do.
I said: «Hello! ». And he answered: «Hello! ». Then he waved with his paw. He said he liked my hat. I didn’t answer. He asked me for a hat. I said nothing. Then I understood that I knew this voice. It sounded like my best friend Alex. I touched his hair. It was very soft. It was a mask. It was a joke of Alex. But I didn’t laugh. I was scared.
Alex thought that it was funny. I didn’t agree.
