Snowy the Adventurer

Snowy is a little polar bear cub. He lives in the northern Arctic with his family. Mummy bear, Daddy bear and Snowy can see ice and snow everywhere every day. They like swimming from ice floe to ice floe and digging holes in snow banks.
One day Snowy says, "I'm tired of this ice and snow. I'm going to live where I can see something quite different."
"But your home is here! Look!
The snowflakes are dancing in the air! They are so beautiful! Listen to the snow! It's humming a very funny song, "scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh", his mother tells him.

I want some more adventures! It’s boring to see ice and snow everywhere every day!”
Snowy woke up early in the morning, said goodbye to his parents and swam away with his backpack.
“How strange! I am swimming and swimming, but water doesn’t become warmer”, Snowy thought.
After a few days Snowy saw a sea coast.
It was Africa, but the coast was white! What has happened to Africa? A little monkey was sitting on an ice floe.
Snowy swam up to the ice floe and asked the monkey:
“Hello, what’s your name?”
“Bananika. And who are you?”
“I am Snowy. Why is it so cold here? Why is Africa white? Why is it snowing?”
“A huge furious Icebird wants to break a harmony with nature.
He has invented a special machine, which can cool or warm any continent!”
“That’s terrible!”
“Yes, Africa has become white with snow and the northern Arctic will become hot and sunny!”
“Oh, no!!! My mum and dad, I left them! If all the ice melts, we will not have a place to live! What can we do to stop global warming in the Arctic?”
“It’s difficult! You should melt some snow in warm water and say magic words which will stop Icebird’s machine!”
“I’ll do it! But which words?”
“Icebird’s power’s over!
Africa, become warmer!
The Arctic, stay cool again!
Our efforts are not in vain!”
“OK. Let’s do it together!”
Snowy and Bananika picked up some snow and put it in a pocket in Snowy’s backpack.
Snowy likes cold fish, so his pocket is special to keep fish, ice cream and milk cold all the time.
On the ice floe Snowy and Bananika started swimming to the Arctic.
They melted the snow in the water when it started to warm and said the words.
The water became colder and it snow began. Snowy and Bananika were very happy! But it was time to say goodbye.
Bananika had to come back to Africa and Snowy to his parents.
“Scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh”, Snowy was listening to snow some time later and thought: “I will never leave my home again!”
