Snowy is a little polar bear cub. He lives in the northern Arctic with his family. Mummy bear, Daddy bear and Snowy can see ice and snow everywhere every day. They like swimming from ice floe to ice floe and digging holes in snow banks.
One day Snowy says, "I'm tired of this ice and snow. I'm going to live where I can see something quite different."
"But your home is here! Look!
The snowflakes are dancing in the air! They are so beautiful! Listen to the snow! It's humming a very funny song, "scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh", his mother tells him.
"Nothing can stop me", answers Snowy. "I'm packing my things and ...

in a day I'm going to travel .
I'm going to visit a lot of interesting places where I haven't been before.
''But it's very dangeous and you know nothing about the world around you,''says Mummy bear .
''Don't worry,I want to grow up and to learn a lot of different things.So in a day Snowy begins his journey.He goes and goes and goes.The bear is very tired and is going to have a rest.He sees a big black and white bird in front of him.The bird is eating fish.Snowy is hungry.He comes to the bird.''Who are you?'' the bear asks.''I'm a sea-gull,help yourself.''Snowy is eating fish and then the sea-gull says,'' I'm going to fly across the sea to the warm countries.Do you want to travel with me?'' ''Oh,it will be great.I have always wanted to see all the world.Two days ago I started my journey,''exclaims Snowy.
Snowy sits on the sea-gull's back and they fly up in the sky.They are flying over the waves,the wind is blowing but the bear is happy,because he will be able see new places soon.It took them a lot of time to fly to some lands.
''Oh,what is it?''-asks Snowy.They see green grass ,a lot of beautiful flowers and trees,covered with,green leaves.The sun is shining and small red birds are singing.The birds are surprised to see Snowy and his friend.Snowy says,''I came from the northern Arctic where ice and snow can be see everywhere .I wanted to see the other land and the sea-gull helped me.'' ''Welcome to our Green Grove,''said the birds.Snowy is running,jumping and eating tasty fruit.He is plaing with his new friends.
Then night comes,but Snowy can't sleep.He misses his Mummy bear and Daddy bear,he misses his ice and snow.So Snowy is crying. ''How will I return home?''He doesn't know what to do.The birds want to help Snowy.''We are going to make a raft and you will swim to the northern Arctic.
Two days later the raft was ready.
Snowy says ''Good bye'' to the birds .He swims and swims and swims.He is so frightened.He is alone in the sea.But suddenly he sees a big ice floe of snow.
He sees his Mummy and Daddy on it.He is happy to see his parents.Snowy is so glad to see the ice and snow,and snowflakes,dancing in the air.
He will swim from ice floe to ice floe making big holes in snow banks.
And hugging his Mummy and Daddy.He understands that there is no place like home.
