Snowy's travel
Денисова Мария Олеговна. 12 лет. Snowy's travel. LOW.
Snowy is a little polar bear cub. He lives in the northern Arctic with his family. Mummy bear, Daddy bear and Snowy can see ice and snow everywhere every day. They like swimming from ice floe to ice floe and digging holes in snow banks.
One day Snowy says, "I'm tired of this ice and snow. I'm going to live where I can see something quite different."
"But your home is here! Look! The snowflakes are dancing in the air! They are so beautiful! Listen to the snow! It's humming a very funny song, "scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh", his mother tells him.
"Nothing can stop me", answers Snowy. "I'm packing my things and ...
going to London».
«Why are you going to London?»-asks his mother.
«Because I have never been to London»-answers Snowy.
«Oh, son, give up this idea»-answers mummy.
«OK, I agree with you. Good night, mum». And Snowy goes to bed .
He decides to leave his house next night.
When all the family fall asleep, he is going to pack his luggage.
He puts into his bag only necessary things such as: trousers, a coat, a sweater and some money for the first time.
Next day he buys one ticket to London. «Everything is ready»-thinks Snowy.
At night he takes his bag and goes to the airport.
The flight is good. It takes ten hours, but Snowy is happy to see London.
He likes London, it is different from the northern Arctic.
There are a lot of places to visit in London: museums, parks, theatres.
London is one of the most famous and interesting cities in Europe.
Snowy has not got a lot of money, that is why he stays in the cheap hotel.
There he meets a real Londoner and he makes friends with him. His name is Martin.
Martin proposes Snowy to go to London Zoo. They watch baby animals at the Zoo.
«Watch out! There is elephant coming!»-says Martin. «I see»-answers Snowy.
Then they go to Westminster Abby and see Big Ben. Big Ben is really a bell.
«It is beautiful!»-says Snowy. Next day Martin and Snowy see the Tower of London from the river Thames.
The Tower is very old. The famous clock Big Ben stands near the Houses of Parliament.
Snowy sees Trafalgar Square. One morning after breakfast Martin invites Snowy to go for a walk.
They go to the park. Snowy likes St. James’s Park most of all. It’s full of flowers.
Especially he likes the statue of Peter Pen. Next day when Snowy comes to Madam Tussaud’s museums he sees the queen’s family and begins to cry.
«Why are you crying?»-asks Martin. «I miss my family»-answers Snowy. «Why can’t you come back?»-adds Martin.
«Because I haven’t got money for the ticket »-says Snowy. In two days Martin brings an envelope to Snowy.
«What is it? »-asks Snowy. «It’s a ticket for you »-answers Martin.
This evening Snowy is at home and he promises his parents never to leave their home.
