Snowy is a little polar bear cub. He lives in the northern Arctic with his family. Mummy bear, Daddy bear and Snowy can see ice and snow everywhere every day. They like swimming from ice floe to ice floe and digging holes in snow banks.
One day Snowy says, "I'm tired of this ice and snow. I'm going to live where I can see something quite different."
"But your home is here! Look!
The snowflakes are dancing in the air! They are so beautiful! Listen to the snow! It's humming a very funny song, "scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh", his mother tells him.
"Nothing can stop me", answers Snowy. "I'm packing my things and ...

“I am packing my things, and I am leaving for warm edges.
I will search for a place where the sun is cheerful and shine every day.
” The bear cub sat down on an ice floe and floated. His mother tried to stop him, but the ice floe had already sailed.
She had only time to shout to him: "if you want to come back home, you should head for the big she-bear".
The whole month, Snowy was floating in the huge ocean and seeing a lot of interesting fish, dolphins and whales.
One day, he got hungry strongly. Suddenly, Snowy saw the earth. By that time, ice floe had almost thawed.
The sun was shining brightly. Soon, Snowy saw unfamiliar animals. They were surprised meeting the polar bear very much.
"Who are you?" – The monkey asked. "I am a bear cub named Snowy. I came from the northern Arctic."- answered Snowy.
"I heard it is very cold there” - the elephant said. - "Yes, you are right. And where am I?"- Asked Snowy - "You are in Africa" - animals answered.
"If you don’t mind, I would like to stay for a while here."- Snowy said. Animals weren't against it. Snowy spent time there very well. He enjoyed sunny days and found many good friends. All the week long, he played and had fun with his new friends.

After some time, the bear cub began to miss his native home, parents, snow and Aurora Borealis.
Snowy wanted to go back to his home, but he didn't know a way to his native land.
Snowy asked his friends to help him construct a raft. Animals were glad to help the friend, but they loved him, so they didn't want to release a bear cub home.
In some days, everything was ready. Snowy said goodbye to his friends and floated away.
In a few days, the strong stream and wind picked up a raft and incurred it in an unknown direction.
The bear cub was frightened, but suddenly in the sky something began to sparkle very bright.
Snowy lifted his head and saw constellation of the big she-bear. He remembered his mum’s words and calmed down.
Twelve days later, Snowy saw his native land. The bear cub was glad to see his house.
Finally, he felt a native cold breeze, saw his mum, father and snow.
On a visit is well, but it is even better at home.
