Snowy is a little polar bear cub. He lives in the northern Arctic with his family. Mummy bear, Daddy bear and Snowy can see ice and snow everywhere every day. They like swimming from ice floe to ice floe and digging holes in snow banks.
One day Snowy says, "I'm tired of this ice and snow. I'm going to live where I can see something quite different."
"But your home is here! Look!
The snowflakes are dancing in the air! They are so beautiful! Listen to the snow! It's humming a very funny song, "scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh", his mother tells him.

He went, swam for a long time and reached the main land. Then he got to the cargo ship and arrived in Africa.
Everything was different: the trees, flowers, birds, animals. “I’ll have a lot of fun here”,-thought Snowy “. How interesting! The monkeys are full of fun: swinging, jumping chattering and eating bananas…”- admired the curious bear.

Snowy sang a song: “I love all kinds of animal’s giraffes, tigers, rabbits; I love all kinds of animals, despite their funny habits…” He was happy. He went fishing, played with a black rhino, jumped with monkeys.
Snowy really enjoyed his staying in Africa. He was sure it was a fairy-tale place in the world.
“I wish I could live here…”- said Snowy.
Suddenly he remembered his native place.
Many romantic ideas were connected with the Arctic, he thought of his Mummy bear, Daddy bear. “Do you miss your relatives?”- asked his new friends.
-“Oh, yes, greatly! I’ll go back. I’m going to meet me parents.
Your place is wonderful, but I miss hard winters, snowstorms, “white nights”.
It’s fun to swim from ice floe to ice floe and dig holes in snow banks”,-cried the little bear cub.
He looked at the sky and saw a falling star. “Oh, I have a wish. I’d like to return home”, - said Snowly.
… He opened his eyes and saw his Mummy bear near him… It was only a dream…
There is no place like home.
