Snowy is a little polar bear cub. He lives in the northern Arctic with his family. Mummy bear, Daddy bear and Snowy can see ice and snow everywhere every day. They like swimming from ice floe to ice floe and digging holes in snow banks.
One day Snowy says, "I'm tired of this ice and snow. I'm going to live where I can see something quite different."
"But your home is here! Look!
The snowflakes are dancing in the air! They are so beautiful! Listen to the snow! It's humming a very funny song, "scoosh-scoosh, scoosh-scoosh", his mother tells him.
"Nothing can stop me", answers Snowy. "I'm packing my things and ...

“ and I’m going to start”- says little Snowy.
“ Where there is a will there is a way”- as the proverb says. And Snowy went away.
He went travelling on the ice floe. He was travelling for a long time. The wind was blowing hard. The waves were as large as mountains. But Snowy was dreaming to see the world, and he overcame all the difficulties.
His travelling was very difficult. He visited a lot of places and he saw many new sights. He got a lot of information about the life of animals in other countries.
He was in Africa. And he saw lovely monkeys, beautiful giraffes, large elephants, fast tigers and strong lions. He wondered different birds and butterflies. He heard tender singing of wonderful birds.
Snowy admired colourful nature of Africa. He breathed hot African air…And suddenly he became tired.
Though he met a lot of friends and saw many wonders of nature, though he played, ran, jumped, gathered mushrooms and berries and picked flowers… he became tired.
He wasn’t going to other countries. He understood that there is no place like home.
“ East or West, home is best” – Snowy said to himself.
He remembered his family and his nice snowy land. On his way home he was thinking about falling snowflakes and shining northern snow. He was eager to listen to the crunch of the snow…
And now Snowy is at home.
The weather is very cold but it is sunny in the northern Arctic.
But it is his homeland. It is his birthplace. He is sitting on the snow with his dear mother.
He will grow and he will become a big white bear. And he will remember his travelling to Africa.
And Snowy will tell his children about his travelling to Africa.
ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL!
